PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
A meeting of session of th e Foxton charge of the above wa s held at Glen Oroua yesterday Remits from the General Assembly were read and held over, pending further consideration. Subsequently, a meeting of the district committee was held, the Rev G. R. Aitken (moderator) presided and there were present ; Messrs Alex Spcirs, A. J. Gibbs (treasurer), and Hornblow (Foxton), Wilton (Uroua Bridge), Malheson, Richardson (secretary), and McCully (Tiakitahuna), Wilton, Amon, and Farmer (Glen Oroua). The quarterly financial statement was read and adopted. The following officers were unanimously re-elected : —Secretary, Mr M. Richardson ; treasurer, Mr A. J. Gibbs. It was decided that the financial year in future end on June 30th. The several committees were instructed to present a statement of the various assets and forward same to the treasurer for presentation at the next quarterly meeting. It was decided to lake up special collections during the year for the following objects; Maori, Home, and Foreign Missions. It was decided to invite Mr and Mrs Camming, the Scottish evangelists, to this district from the sth to the cud of March. Other routine matters were attended to, after which the delegates were hospitably entertained by the Glen Oroua delegates. The next quarterly meeting will be held at Oroua Bridge.
