SCHOOL FLORAL FETE.
The floral fete in connection with the local State School will be formally opened to-morrow afternoon, at 2 o’clock, by Mr F. Pirani, chairman of the Education Board. Mr Pirani will also present the prizes to the successful scholars.
The teaching staff and elder scholars have been working assiduously to make the gathering a huge success. A sale of work will be held in the old school building, and refreshment and other stalls will be provided. A programme of novel events and competitions will also be submitted- Mr Betty’s orchestra will supply some spirited selections during the evening. Children will be admitted free, and adults will be charged is. The funds are in aid of the school ground improvement fund.
