NAVAL AND MILITARY TOURNAMENT.

THE JUDGES AND ENTRIES. The Naval and Military Tournament Committee met at Palmerston on Tuesday evening, Captain Peach presiding.

A letter was received from the Otago 0.C., stating that he would arrange for the meeting of the Tasmanian troops on their arrival at the Bluff.

Sergt.-Major Edgar, of the South Canterbury Rifles, wrote stating that he would attend the Tournament, despite the tact that his No. 2 in the Eloyd-Eindsay team, fell while practicing, and he was not expected to recover. —The secretary was instructed to reply, offering him the loan of a competent man.

Majors Rose, Henderson and Atwell; physical drill (junior cadets), Sergt.-Majors Henderson and Rose ; tent pitching and striking, Sergt.-Majors Rose, Henderson and Peacock ; bugles (cadets), Major Macintosh. The entries do not close finally till December 17th, The following have entered to date :—Artillery : No. 1 Tasmanian A.F.A. ; B. Battery, Dunedin ; D. Battery, Wellington, Engineers: Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch. Mounted corps: No. 1 Tasmanian ; D. and B. Batteries, Waimarino M.R., Mauawatu M.R., Waikato M.R., Dominion Scouts, Seddon Horse, Waiku M.R. Infantry events : City, Zealandia, Post and Telegraph and College Rifles (Wellington) ; College and Gordon Rifles (Auckland) ; Palmerston N. Rifles, No. 3 Garrison Artillery, Ashburton Rifles. Wellington Navals, No. 5 Wellington Field Ambulance. Cadets: Napier City, Petone D.H.S., St. Ann’s, Palmerston N. Technical School, Foxton, Campbell Street School, Palmerston N. Boy Scouts.
