STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Coy., Ltd., report as follows on their stock sale held at Palmerston North on Thursday :—We had a good entry of sheep, and a fair yarding of cattle, bheep sold well in favour of vendors, and a total clearance was made. Cattle also sold well, and very few were sent out unsold. We quote : —Cull ewes. 5s nd ; empty ewes, 10s nd ; forward ewes, ns; 4-tooth shorn wethers, 14s. Yearling steers, £2 13s 6d ; empty heifers, £3 13s 6d; fat cows, ,£5 4s ; 3-year bullocks, to ,£5 17s 6d ; dairy cows, £4 16s, £5 7s 6d to £6 ; bulls, £3 17s 6d to £5.
