There were Sooo spectators present at Brisbane on Saturday to witness the second day’s play of the South Africiaus in their match with au Australian XI. The visitors are leading on the first innings having scored 343 runs as against Australia’s 265. For South Africa the top scorers were: Shervvell 76, Faulkner 70, Llewellyn 50, Sinclair 47, Vogler 41, and Nourse 26. The best of the Australians were : Jennings 95, Hordern 54, Kortlang 39, and Macartney 22. The South Atricians opened their second innings very badly losing three wickets for 32 runs. When stumps were drawn the not out men were: Zulch 20, and Faulkner 13. The following team will represent Foxton in their match against Himatangi, to be played on the Park pitch to morrow afternoon, commencing at 2.30 o’clock : Kvaus, Howe, Clingberg, Love, Bullard, Ward, Robinson, McKuight (?), Hardwick, Brown, Chrystall, Littlejohn and Whibley.
