PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

The monthly meeting of managers of the local Presbyterian Church was held on Tuesday night. Present: —Messrs Rev Aitken (Moderator), Alex. Speirs, Hornblow, Jno. Ross, Gibbs, Parkes, McCall and Clarice (secretary). The Moderator explained the conditions under which Mr McKenzie would labour in the district to the end ol March. Extra services would be conducted at Moutoa, Oroua Downs and the Beach every Sunday. A letter of thanks was ordered to be sent to Miss Rough, who has consented to undertake the duties of collector for the sustentation fund. It was decided to hold the annual river excursion and picnic at the Beach on Boxing Day in conjunction with the Methodist body, and the following gentlemen were appointed a sub-committee to confer with the latter and carry out details : Messrs Claris. Jno. Ross, McCall and Parkes. Other routine business was transacted and the meeting closed.
