CADET NOTES.

Work has at length been begun upon the miniature range for the local cadets. The weapons supplied by the Department are Winchester Miniature rifles of ’22 calibre and their introduction in place of the old -310 should effect a distinct saving in the price of ammunition. The range is 25 yards and is equivalent to the 200 yards range with the regulation rifle. The O.C. hopes that the range will be open next week, and a medal will be presented by Captain Gabites for the best shot in the company.
