HORTICULTURAL SHOW.
OPENS TO-MORROW. IN THE OLD SCHOOLHOU3E. In Mr Patterson the local Horticultural Society has secured an ideal secretary. He has systematised the details of the show to such an extent that confusion should be obviated—and everything points to a record exhibition. It was thougt that the destruction of the hall would mean that the show would have to be postponed, but the President lost no time in looking up a suitable building. The school committee were approached and readily consented to place the old school building at the disposal of the society, and there is ample accommodation for the exhibits in the various spacious class-rooms. Entries close to-night, and late entries will be received up to 10 a.m. to-morrow if accompanied by a late entry fee of 3d per entry. Nearly 500 entries have already been received. The tea-room will be under the capable supervision of a number of ladies, and should be well patronised, Mr Betty’s orchestra will conti ibute a musical programme each evening.
