THE FATAL WEDDING.

A dramatic event of vast importance and great moment will lie the appearance of His Majesty’s Theatre Company who, under the sole direction of Mr Philip Lvtton, will present at the Public Hall, Foxton, next Monday evening, the world-famed dramatic success, ‘‘The Fatal Wedding.” The Company, who are now playing a highly successful season in their own movable Theatre, in Palmerston North, is no doubt a firstclass organisation, and is headed by the eminent artists, Miss Lily Dampier and Mr Alfred Rolfe. The play chosen for Foxton is from an extensive repetiore, and was staged as the opening production of the Palmerston North season, and both the Times and Standard commented on the production. It is no exaggeration to say that “The Fatal Wedding ” has undeniably proved itself to be “ the play of the century, no other production of later years having drawn so many thousands or aroused the interest this has done. This is accounted for principally by the clean-cut well-told story bearing on the everyday incidents of life it unfolds as the sturdy light made by the little mother against the heavy responsibilities of life is something which immediately wins the heart of everyone. A special feature of this production will be the introduction of the famous tin can band —a great galaxy ot talented juvenile artists whose enormous specialties takes the form of a big vaudeville entertainment, aud whose bright songs and clever dances are said to be worth the money alone. Popular prices are being charged and as this great play is in such capable hands as this company, we trust that a bumper house will justify the management in bringing such a large and talented company to our town.
