PRESBYTERIAN S.S. ANNIVERSARY.
The anniversary of the Presbyterian Sunday School will be held to-morrow. The service promises to be an interesting one. Service sheets will be supplied to the congregation, which provide for special hymns of a particularly Hue selection, and Scripture responses. The Sunday school children have been under training for some time, and may be expected to give a very good account ot themselves in their part of the service. In the morning the service will be conducted by the Rev G. K. Aitkeu, who will lake for his subject, “ How a Boy Helped Jesus.” In the afternoon an address will be given by Mr D. W. Low, m.a., the popular headmaster of College Street School, Palmerston North, and in the evening Mr Low will deliver an address, having a special reference to young people. Special collections will be taken up during the day on behalf of the Sunday School funds.
On Monday evening, an anniversary social will be held in the Church. The programme will be supplied by the children, and will consist of hymns, songs, recitations, and dialogues, and short addresses will be given by the Revs P. J. Mairs and G. K. Aitken. The teachers and friends will provide refreshments. An admission charge of one shilling for adults and sixpence for children will be made, and the proceeds will be devoted to the Sunday School library fund.
