A lengthy interview between King Alfonso and Senor Maura, Leader of the Conservative Party, is interpreted as evidence of a union between the Conservatives and Liberals to combat the revolutionary tactics.
The revolutionaries have started a campaign of abuse against the Monarchists in order to frustrate the Alliance.

The police were warned that Ferrer demonstrations would be attempted in Loudon. They found the pavement and steps of the Spanish Embassy chemically stained a blood colour. Madrid, October 13.
All the Spanish troops are confined to their barracks pending the Ferrer demonstrations.
The Republicans in Spain are showing extreme activity, being spurred on by the Portuguese revolution.
The anniversary of the execution of Ferrer, the anarchist, was the cause of a disturbance at Mellila.
The police and the military have adopted severe measures at Madrid and Barcelona, and many arrests have been made at the latter place.
