SLOW FOR BLOW.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT
All arrangements for the staging of the comedy-drama “Blow for Blow,’’ by the local amateurs at the Public Hall on Wednesday evening next, are now complete, and all that is required to make the production an absolute success from every point of view is a bumber house. We feel sure that from the manner in which the society’s previous efforts have been received by the Foxton audiences that they have been appreciated, and as this play has been carefully rehearsed, and will be produced with most realistic stage effects, we feel certain the local people will roll up in strong force. One thing the members of the Society promise is that this production will be at least on the same high level as previous one. A rehearsal was held last night, and in order to to ensure that everything will be right up to the mark for the production on Wednesday night, it has been decided to have dress rehearsals on Monday and Tuesday nights. In the matter of dressing something particularly good is promised, the members taking part sparing no pains or expense in order to make their dresses exactly fit in with the character they represent. The prices of admission are 3s, 2s and is, and intending patrons can have their seats reserved without extra charge, on application to the secretary.
