BLOW FOR BLOW.
The local amateurs held a very successful rehearsal of the comedydrama “Blow for Blow” in the Public Hall last night, and from present appearances the production on the 19th instant should be most successful. The play is a real good one and will keep the audience interested from the rise of the curtain until its fall. A large proportion of the dramas played now-a days are of the blood and thunder type, abounding in murders, and in impossible positions that are only seen on the stage. “Blow for Blow” is a pleasing exception and the story told is one that is quite feasible. Further, it should please all tastes as it has a vein of comedy right through it. The scenery and stage effects will be on the same high level as has been the case in our amateurs previous productions and there will this time be a first-class orchestra uuder the conductorship of Mr Betty, Seats may be reserved without extra charge on application to the secretary.
