“BLOW FOR BLOW.”
On Wednesday, October 19th, the local amateurs will produce at the Public Hall one of the finest comedy-dramas yet seen locally. The title of the play is “Blow for Blow,” and all who have read it express the opinion that it is undoubtedly the best piece that our local amateurs have yet rehearsed, and is one that will strongly appeal to a Foxton audience. “Blow for Blow” is not a play, the production of which has been confined to amateurs, as it has been, and is still being played by a number of touring dramatic companies. The piece has been carefully rehearsed for some time past and all arrangements for the staging of same are well in hand. The drama will be staged with most realistic scenic effects. Arrangements have also been made for a first-class orchestra under the able conductorship of Mr R, T. Betty. The prices of admission are : 3s, 2s and is, and seats can be reserved on application to the secretary without extra charge.
