INQUEST ON AN INFANT.

Hastings, October 3. The adjourned inquest on the body of a newly-born child, alleged to be the offspring of Maria Mooney, single, aged 26 years, was concluded to-day. The jury’s verdict was “ that Maria Mooney is the mother of the illegitimate child, the subject of this inquest ; that there is not sufficient medical evidence to prove whether the child was born dead or alive.”
