ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
William Ashby, aged fifty, was killed on Saturday at Waihi through being kicked by a horse. Mrs Eyetou, late of Auckland, died suddenly from heart disease at Christchurch on Saturday. Deceased was 65 years of age. Frank Trail, aged 26 years, recently married, collided with a trap while riding a bicycle at Ashburton on Saturday, and received fatal injuries. A young man named G. Clark was drowned in the Waimakiriri river on Saturday. William Flint, of Invercargill, married, aged 36, died suddenly at Dunedin on Saturday. Death was due to a clot of blood on the brain. A sad drowning accident occurred at Richmond, Grey Eynn, on Sunday afternoon, the victim being Marjorie Elliott, the xB- - daughter of Edmund Elliott, fellmouger. The child was found lying dead at the bottom of a ditch about 4ft or sft deep and containing several inches of water. It appears that the child, in running about, tumbled into it, and was drowned.
