FOXTON RACING CLUB.

A meeting of the above was held on Monday night. Present ; Messrs W. K- Barber (chairman), Dr. Maud'l, C. Hunt, W. Gray, W. Howan, O. Robinson, Jeuks, Rimraer, Witched, K. Ball, and A. Keith (secretary). It was decided to obtain a quotation ior a set of Hutchensou jockey scales. It was decided to accept Mr Angus Keith’s resignation as secretary as irom October 24th, with extreme regret. The services of the secretary were again eulogised and he was accorded the Club’s thanks and appreciation of his past services. Mr J. R. Whyte was appointed judge for the coming meeting ; and Mr J. K. IRnrys handicapper and Mr Keith starter ; Messrs Hunt, Howan, Ball and Coley were appointed a course committee. It was decided that the committee meet on the course at an early date to consider suggested improvements. Mr Coley was elected a member of the Club. It was decided to advertise for applications for the position of secretary in the local paper; applicants to reside in or near Foxton ; salary £SO per annum ; applications to close on October 10th. Mr A. Keith was elected a life member of the Club as an appreciation of his past services. Accounts were passed for payment and the meeting rose.
