ESPIONAGE.
London, September 16. The evidence in the charge of espionage against the German lieutenant Helm, arrested at Portsmouth, showed that Helm went to Portsmouth to visit an English girl who was intimate with several naval officers. Her conversation with the officers led to Helm’s arrest. GERMANS ARRESTED. Berlin, September 16. Several Germans have been arrested at Borkum on charges of aiding Brandon and Trench, recently arrested for alleged espionage.
