ESPIONAGE.
Berlin, Sept. 6. Bail was refused to Brandon and Trench, the Englishmen arrested as spies at Borkum, and they were committed for trial at the Imperial Court at Leipsic. London, Sept. 6. A German subaltern has been arrested at Portsmouth on a charge of sketching the fortifications. The name of the subaltern arrested is Elmn. Plans of the forts and harbour defences were discovered in his possession.
