Invkkcargill, August 31

The Supreme Court was occupied ail to-day in hearing a claim by George Marshall for ,£5Ol damages from J. H. Sarginson for seduction of plaintiff’s daughter. Both parties are of Eintley, near Lumsden. Seduction was admitted, but defendant held there was no promise to marry, and that as plaintiff was on bad terms with his daughter he suffered no damage. The jury awarded ,£2OO.
