SUICIDE.
Christchurch, August 25, Juanita Alexander Burn, a married woman, thirty-two years of age, committed suicide last night by jumping off the pier at New Brighton. The body was found this morning. She left a note to her sister saying: “I could not stand these voices in my ears any longer, and I am going on a long journey.” She had been in indifferent health lately. At the inquest no fresh facts were disclosed, and a verdict was returned that deceased was found drowned, but that there was no evidence to show how the bodv got into the water.
