PHIL WALSH DRAMATIC COMPANY.
TO-NIGHT,
At the Public Hall to-night the above popular company present a military drama entitled "All For Gold,” The scene is laid in central India and the story tells of British pluck and courage. The fort has been attacked the result of which is seen in the dismantled cannons, the shell torn walls and the dead and dying soldiers. The tattered Union Jack flies triumphantly in the grey dawn of early morning, and under its shadow are grouped the members of a Court Martial by whom the dread sentence of death has just been pronounced against a brother officer. The attack on the camp and subsequent victory of the British troops gives a thrilling tableau e’er the scene is removed to a peaceful English village where the machinations of the villain, the sorrows of the widowed heroine, the tribulations of a love sick curate, and the witticisms of ‘‘The Old Soldier,” blend into a story of deep and thrilling interest, the denouement of which is reached in a novel and sensational manner.
