ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

TAIHAPE, July 18,

Information has been received by the police that Arthur Curtis was killed yesterday while bush-felling at Morton Bros,’, between Waiouru and Ohukune. Tho body has been taken to the latterplace and awaits an inquest. No details are available.

William Johnson, ship's nook, aged abuu 60 years. who resided at 107, Taranaki street, Wellington, whilst having dinner at 2 pan. yesterday, complained of feeling unwell. He went out into the yard, where ho vomited freely. After leaning against a fence for a short time, ho dropped to the ground. Dr. Mackin was summoned, but Johnson expired shortly alter his arrival.
