PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

The quarterly meeting of the Foxton District Presbyterian Church was held at Tiakitahuna yesterday. Present: Messrs Rev Aitken (moderator), A. J. Gibbs (Foxton), Wilton (Oroua Bridge), Farmer and Costall (Glen Oroua), and Mathieson, Passey, Buchanan, and Richardson (Tiakitahuna). Apologies for absence were received from Messrs Speirs, Rowlands, Amon, and Hornblow. The treasurer (Mr Gibbs) presented the financial statement, which showed that the financial position of the church was in a very prosperous condition. Mr Costall brought up the question of issuing a pamphlet among adherents setting forth the doctrines of the church. The committee decided to procure copies, and to individually defray cost of same. Other business of a minor nature was transacted after which the delegates were hospitably entertained at lunch by the ladies of the Tiakitahuna Church.
