THE WEATHER.
The Rev. D. C. Bates wires as follows to-day:— Moderate to strong northerly winds, and freshening probably to gale alter 16 hours; expect unsettled aud cloudy weather ; glass fall slowly. Tides good ; sea considerable off the shore. A storm area appears to be approaching from the westward, especially atfecting the South Island and the West Coast south of Kawhia.
