THE FOXTON BAR.

[to the editor.] Sir. —At the present time the Manawatu River, also the bar, is in a very bad state for navigation. As I hold a patent for straightening and deepening rivers I am prepared to straighten and deepen this river from end to end at a cost of l /z& per yard, and also keep it in repair for five years. I am quite prepared to meet any engineer whom the Harbour Board likes to appoint in reference to same. Thanking you in anticipation. —I am, etc,, John Charees Vincent. Foxton, June 22nd, 1910.
