KAISER AND KING.
THE EMPEROR WILLIAMS VISIT. CORDIAL MEETING WITH KING GEORGE. ■\ERECTING SCENE IN THE PRE SENCE OF THE DEAD. LONDON, May 20. The Kaiser, who was nephew of lln late King and is cousin to King George, came by the Royal yacht Hohcnzoilen: via Flushing. He landed quietly at Port Victoria on Thursday, mid took train for London. King George, tho Duke of Connaught. Prince Edward. Prince Henry of Prussia, and others welcomed him at Victoria slat ion.
Tlu‘. moment the trll in came to a standstill the Kaiser leaped bareheaded on to the platform and seizing- the King’s right hand with both his own, greeted him with the utmost heartiness, kissing him on both cheeks. Then the Kaiser greeted the others in turn, and finally accompanied the King to Buckingham Palace, where he will remain during his slay. During the afternoon King George and the Kaiser paid a visit of a quarter of an hour to Westminster Hall, where the German Kmporor paid his respects to the late King. After the Kaiser ami King had gazed for some moments on the bier the passage of the queue of mourners was checked, and both passed within the barrier to a. position at the head of the cofiin. The Emperor laid a splendid wreath on the catafalque, and knelt in prayer. After he rose again h ■ looked feelingly at the King and stretched out his hands to his cousin. Both grasped hands (irmly and turned as though instinctively towards the cofiin. In the eyes of each were traces of tears.
