At the last meeting of the Mauawatu Rugby Union, Mr Manning withdrew his notice of motion dealing with the enforcement of Sub-Union boundaries, and the matter now stands as before. Mr Manning gave as his reason for the withdrawal of the motion that as the cup matches had commenced, the carrying of same would upset the teams taking pait. He stated, however, that he would again bring the matter up later in the season in order that the question might be definitely settled before next season.

Jack Sciascia, who played for Awahou two seasons back, and last year represented Horowhenua has been chosen as one of the forwards in the Native team to visit Australia this season. The Native team will leave the Dominion for Australia on the 30th instant. Prior to leaving they will play several games, including matches against the Rotorua and Auckland rep. teams.
