JUSTIFIABLE HOMICIDE.

Sydney, April 28, On January 22 Mrs Buckman, a farmer’s wife, near Narrabri, gave herself up to the police, stating that she had shot her husband dead. It was understood that her husband struck her with a stick, and that she then resorted to firearms.

At her trial for murder, now concluded, the evidence disclosed that she was subjected to much ill-usage. A verdict of ‘ ‘justifiable homicide” was returned.
