THE WARATAH.
London, April 25
The steamer Wakefield, which left Durban on February 25 to search for the missing Lund liner Waratah, reached Kerguelen Land, in the Indian Ocean, on April 7, The Wakefield fruitlessly searched the Crozets, Marion, Prince Edward, Apostles, and other islands. The captain considers that if the Waratah is afloat she must have drifted north-north-east, out of the latitude of the islands visited.
The Wakefield proceeded to Heard Island on April 9.
