SHOT BY HIS FATHER.
Wiiangarri, April 27
Henry James Hansen was charged yesterday with attempting to murder bis son at Ngunguru on April 15. The hearing lasted until a late hour last night. Accused pleadecf not guilty and reserved his defence. He was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. No bail was asked for. The son who was shot in the groin by his father, said in evidence that he crawled under the bed after being shot. His father observed him there and remarked : “ Oh, you’re there, are you ? Say your prayers now, old man, you’re dying. You're the man that’s going to take your mother and brother away. You won’t take them where you’re going. You’re going to hell.”
