Wk have received, per favour of Cr Alex. Speirs, Foxton’s representative, a copy of the estimates for the current year of the Palmerston North Hospital and Charitable Aid Board which total £ '6,550. Contributions by local bodies at 4s scl in the ,£IOOO account lor ,£2438 7s 4d while the subsidy on same at 3d in the £ realises ,£4,785 5s od. Patients fees are estimated to produce ,£9OO. Foxton’s levy is based on a valuation of ,£150,923, totalling ,£33 6s jd, while the Manavvatu County Council, on a valuation of ,£1,671,371 is responsible for £,369 is rod.
