CODLIN MOTH.

The inflicting of small penalties for failing to eradicate codlin moth, Mr McCarthy, S.M., said that where fruit-growing was carried on extensively, it was important that orchardists keep the trees clean. Small orchards spread the pests to the larger ones, and the offence would be serious. In the future the penalties would be nearer the maximum of ,£2O.
