THE MAYORALTY.

The Mayor (Mr G. H. Stiles) has received the following petition from members ot the Borough Council, asking him to allow himself to be again nominated for the position:— *• Dear Sir,

“We, the undersigned earnestly request you to allow yourself to be nominated for a second term as Mayor of Foxton and at the same time we beg to express our sincere admiration and esteem for your untiring efforts for the advancement of the Borough, and also to testify to the admirable manner iu which you have presided over the Council meetings, and to the good feeling that has always existed at the table.
