THE TOWN CLERK EULOGISED.
At last night’s Borough Council meeting after the Town Clerk had read his annual report, the Mayor said that the Council could well congratulate Mr Fraser on furnishing such an excellent and exhaustive report on the past year’s work, and he moved that the appreciation of the Council be recorded in the minutes.
Cr Gibbs in seconding the motion, also referred to the excellent manner in which the business of the Council had been conducted.
Crs Ross and Speirs, also expressed their appreciation of the manner in which the Town Clerk had carried out his duties, and also for the courteous manner in which he supplied any information asked lor. The motion was carried unanimously. The Town Clerk briefly returned thanks for the expressions of appreciation, and said that it was a small recognition like this that gave one the necessary courage to go on.
