MOTOR ACCIDENT.
Masterton, March 30
While motoring from the Taueru Uus evening, Mr W. C. Buchanan, M.P., who was accompanied by Mr J. D. Cruickshank, met with a rather serious accident. In approaching the Taueru Bridge, the steering gear failed to act, with the result that the car ran over a steep embankment. Splinters from the car pierced Mr Buchanan’s leg, and injured the tendon severely, Mr Cruickshank had his left shoulder dislocated, and was very severely shaken. Subsequently both gentlemen were conveyed to Masterton, and are now under medical attendance in a private hospital.
