Mr Alan Thomson, a resident ot Kalgoorlie, has come to an arrangement with Captain Scott to accompany the Antarctic expedition as geologist. Mr Thomson was the first Rhodes scholar who went to Oxford from New Zealand. He proceeds to Sydney to confer with Professor David and afterwards goes to New Zealand to join the Terra Nova.
