ACCUSED BEFORE THE COURT.

The Police Court was occupied all the morning hearing the charges of arson against Joseph Davis and Martin Plaines, in connection with the Rutland Hotel fire on January 22nd, Most of the evidence this morning was given by the insurance agents regarding the value of the stock which accused valued at ,£2460 and was insured for ,£IOOO. Only seven cut of twenty-four witnesses have been examined.
