LORD KITCHENER.
Taihape, Feb, 28. Cord Kitchener, Sir Joseph Ward, and party arrived here at 5.20 o’clock last night, There was no official reception, by special request. Last night was the first quiet night Lord Kitchener has had since lauding iu New Zealand. The party left at 7.40 o’clock this morning for Auckland. The Premier is looking iu exceptionally good health. New Plymouth, Feb. 28. There is great indignation here at the shocking mismanagement shown in connection with the cadet encampment at the Hutt Park. The local boys w r ho were away lor four days had scarcely a decent meal all the time nor decent sleeping accommodation.
