SHACKELTON PICTURES.

TO-NIGHT ! This evening an intellectual treat is in store for Foxton theatregoers, as we are to see the living pictures of the dash for the Pole made by Sir Ernest Shackelton. This great attraction has been secured by Mr C. Spencer (of the Lyceum, Sydney) at the enormous cost of The cinematograph artist has not forgotten the humorous side of affairs. Penguins are to be seen strutting about, and cutting all kinds of antics, which must have been a source of amusement to the party during their sojourn in those cold regions. In addition to the above “star” picture, is included in the programme one of the Company’s own productions, entitled, “Winter Carnival Sports at Mount Koscuisco,” and it can safely be said that this “gem” compares most favourably with the best in the world. In conjunction with the above pictures, many other films of a dramatic, scenic, and humorous nature will be exhibited. We have very little doubt but that Foxton and district patrons are in for a rare treat. The Company only use electric light, which gives the very best results. Popular prices are to be charged.
