MOUTOA SCHOOL PICNIC.

The Moutoa School picnic was held last Friday in Dr. Walls’ paddock, kindly placed at the committee’s disposal by Mr F. Gardner. There was a large attendance of scholars and parents. Every scholar received an award book, and a large number of toys were distributed for races. A number of special prizes were given by the teachers, chairman of committee (Mr Saunders), Mrs Galland, and Mr Park. Mrs William Coley won the married women’s race, and Mr Fred Williams won the race for married men. The chairman of committee presented the prizes. In the evening a social was held in Gardner’s Hall and was greatly enjoyed.
