SHACKLETON'S DASH FOR THE POLE.
What should be pleasant reading to all lovers of moving pictures is the fact that in the Public Hall on Thursday next, for one night, the above star attraction will be exhibited. Much may be written concerning tins attraction. All the world applauds a hero, and Lieutenant Sir Ernest Shackleton and his brave comrades have done something heroic : they have unfurled the British flag within 100 miles of the South Pole. In conjunction with the above attraction the company are the lucky possessors of two penguins, one of which is alive, the other having died on the way home from the Antarctic, and Lieutenant Sir Ernest had it stuffed and presented it to the proprietors of the present company. They will both be on exhibition during their stay free of charge. Besides the above great star picture, their is still another that compares favourably with anything in the world, entitled “Winter Carnival Sports at Mount Kosciusco.”
