A WIFE’S AWFUL PLIGHT

Paris, February 20

A chemist of Paris, named Parat, actuated by insane jealousy, imprisoned his wife in his business premises for two mouths. The police found her seated in a chair, wearing an iron collar with a chain, which u r as padlocked to a bed. By another chain she was padlocked to a wardrobe.

Parat, who was arrested, declared that he adored his wife, and was determined to keep her to himself.
