BELL CROME COMPANY.
A CLEVER COVIBINATIO.V
The above clever and versatile company opened a two nights season in the Public Hill last night to a most appreciative audience. That those present enjoyed the entertainment can be gathered from the fact that almost every item was vociferously encored. In fact we have no hesitation in stating that it is the cleanest and -Cleverest variety combination yet seen in Foxton. The entertainment is bright, sparkling and rapid. The bellriuglng (sleigh and hand bells) and other instrumental and vocal items by the musical Cromes were excellent The violin solos by Miss Bell Crome immediately established her claim to front rank as an instrumentalist. Miss Maud Jefferson, who possesses a rich and highly cultured soprano voice quickly established herself as a warm favourite, while the comicalities of Mr Will Hughes were original, clever and side-splitting and what is more were free from the suggestive filth which so often spoils otherwise good comic artists. The two Arnolds, comedy juggling artists, kept the audience in raptures with their clever juggling feats and funny antics. Phis part of the performance alone was voted good value for the price of admission. The company give a final performance this evening and we recommend all who can make it convenient to attend as the show is undoubtedly one of the cleanest and cleverest that has toured New Zealand. To-night there will be a complete change of programme.
