THE KITCHENER CAMPS.
SOME FURTHER DETAILS. 4000 TROOPS FOR WELLINGTON. Here are some extracts from the instructions issued regarding the Kitchener camps:— The camp will be on the same lines as to mobilisation, allowance, etc., as that of an Easter camp. Field service, and marching order kit only, to be brought into camp, and officer commanding units must be careful to see that equipments are complete in every particular. Officers commanding corps will apply for haversacks, waterbottles and straps to complete equipment in sufficient time to ensure every man attending being in possession of these articles. These articles will be supplied on payment. Arrangements will be made for the troops after inspection to return to their homes.
The camps will be under the direction of the officer commanding the district.
