A FATAL WOUND.
Rotorua, January 25
R. L. Beggs, who attempted suicide ou the grave of his wife in Rotorua Cemetery ou Christmas morning, died this afternoon at three o’clock after lingering for thirty-one days. After wounding himself he was removed to the accident ward at the sanatorium where he remained until his death. No one was permitted to see him and he was looked after day and night. Up to Monday there were hopes of saving his life, but that night be showed serious symptoms and this morning was in a comatose state, and remained so until he died. There is a feeling among some of his acquaintances that they should have been permitted to see him while he was conscious.
