RACE NIGHTS,
On Saturday evening next (race night) local theatre goers will be afforded an opportunity of again • witnessing that thrilling drama, “The Ticket-of-leave Man,” which will be staged at the Public Hall by the local amateurs. The society are in a position to stage the piece with all the scenery effects, having recently had a full range of scenery painted by that well-known scenic artist, Mr George Tarr In order to obviate any waits between the acts, arrangements have been made for several vocal items by local vocalists including Messrs W. E. Cook and G. S. Fowler. As this will no doubt be the last time that this play will be staged locally by our amateurs townspeople should not miss witnessing the production.
On the second race night (Monday), the farcical comedy “The Pickpocket,” which has been in careful rehearsal for some time past, will be staged. Prices of admission, 3s, 2s and ts.
