PRIMITIVE METHODISM.

Tijiartt, January 13. The annual conference of the Primitive Methodist Church opened here this afternoon. Delegates were present irorn all parts of the Dominion. The Rev. S, Henderson (Christchurch) was elected president for the ensuing year, Mr R. B. Horsley (Wanganui) vice-president, and the Rev. J. Southern (West Coast Mission) was re-elected secretary.

The afternoon session was devoted to routine work, appointing officers, committees, etc. In the evening the stationing committee met. The first draft of stations will be read to the conference to-morrow. The conference sermon was delivered by the Rev. B. Dudley. The conference has a big programme before it, and will not conclude its labours until January 21.
