DOMINION’S EXPORTS.
Leaflet No. 79 issued by the Department of Agriculture, Commerce and Tourists, giving the quantities and values of New Zealand products exported in December, is to hand. The values of the exports for the past month, compared with those of December, 1908, are as under :
For the month there was an increase of ,£492,688, towards which wool contributed £522, 764. There are not many items showing decreases, and the figures on the whole are extremely satisfactory. The exports for the nine mouths to December 31, 1909, totalled ,£11,589,063, as compared with £8,925,6x4 for the corresponding period of 1908, showing the substantial gain of ,£2,663,449, equal to nearly 30 per cent.
