Auckland, January 10. A single woman named Kmily Maria Pugwell, residing in Kdendale Road, Eden Terrace, committed suicide this afternoon by taking carbolic acid. She arrived recently from England and, in reply to an advertisement, lent a roan The man in question, on receiving this, it is stated left the country, and this fact seems to have preyed on Miss Pug wells mind.
